Do you think my parents like my older sister better?
I’m 14 and I’m a freshman in high school. My sister, lets call her Jane, is 19 and now it’s her college break. My parents are so nice to her and always talk to her nicely. Today, my mom was like “Oh Jane, you are so nice! You always do the dishes for me. Your sister never does the dishes! She just sits around and does nothing” And then, my sister goes to the mall today and my mom let her buy another shirt. I mean, she’s already spoiled enough, with a coach bag and bag Geo Mirro like 50 million pairs of clothes. I don’t have half as many as she does. And in this economy, I don’t think it’s a good idea to waste money like her. And they’re so proud of her because she always gets A’s and good grades and I’m an OK student, with A’s andB’s .And today, I got a B- on my geo test, but I can’t tell my mom because she would just compare me to my sister again. I feel like my parents care about her so much better, For example, they’re always like “I feel so bad for her because she’s working so hard and everything.” Well, I work hard on school and everything too! But they never seem to notice that. And my mom always makes really good food when my sister is home, but whenever she isn’t home, she makes things that I don’t like. I hate brown rice, but she makes it when my sister isn’t home. But when she is home, she makes white rice and yummy food. I don’t really care about the food as much as the fact that it feels like she doesn’t care about me as much as her. Sorry it’s so long, I just feel really bad
